My name is Jeff Surtees. I grew up in Saskatoon and played guitar, sang and did sound for several groups there before moving to Calgary with my family in 1991. Since being here I have played with a great party band called the BENDERS  and still play now with the classic rock band Dr. Friday.

Lloyd Derry and I became friends while working together. I welcomed the opportunity to be sound engineer for REWIND and occasional stunt guitar player. Unlike Velma, I have always loved the setting up, tearing down, wrapping cords and packing equipment !

I take great pride in helping a band sound good. My goal as a sound engineer is to make the band not too loud, not too quiet , but just right for the occasion. If I do my job well , Lloyd rewards me by letting me come on stage, play guitar and sing a tune or two.
