Hello.  My name is Lloyd Derry and I play keyboard and sing lead vocals for Rewind.  I have been playing music and singing all of my life. I formed my first Rock ‘n Roll band, The Fascinations, in Hanna, Ab. in1964 at 13 years old.  We played all over east central Alberta and in western Saskatchewan throughout  High School during the golden age of Rock ‘n Roll. 

After a few years’ hiatus from music, my wife Velma and I formed a duo called “Silhouette” and  played for dances for 25 consecutive years.  In 1989 I started the Hanna Rock ‘n Roll Reunion which was a semi-annual event featuring six bands, all with Hanna roots.  This very popular event lasted until 2003.

With tremendous passion for playing music I can  never quit, so when the opportunity to form Rewind came along, the decision was easy.  Playing with Rewind is a rewarding experience because all of the band members enjoy playing primarily for the love of music.  Making it even more special is the fact Roy Johnston, Merlyn Clarkson and I played  together back in the sixties.  Performing with our very talented lead player Terry Whitford, our steady drummer   Pete Potter, and my wife Velma just enhances the experience.
